About us

Forth Valley College is one of Scotland’s first regional colleges, created in 2005 by the merger of Falkirk College and Clackmannan College.

The College has a vibrant learning community, welcoming over 14,500 students each year. They offer flexible education and training opportunities from access to degree level across a variety of modes of attendance including full-time, part-time, evening, flexible and online learning. The college also delivers vocational training, professional qualifications and bespoke courses.

Forth Valley College offers courses via nine departments including:

  • Department of Care, Health and Sport
  • Department of Construction
  • Department of Creative Industries
  • Department of Electrical, Instrumentation and Chemical Engineering

The college has over 600 members of staff with a vast range of skills and experience.

The quality of teaching and learning is strongly backed up by expert guidance and support services, state-of-the-art facilities and the very latest in learning resources.

The College won the Association of College’s Beacon Award for Innovation in Further Education in 2014 for their innovative approach to education and training based on their mission statement ‘Making Learning Work’.
